We love our annual Utah Book Festival!
The thirteenth annual Utah Humanities Book Festival will be held at the City Library on Saturday, October 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Come by and browse the display tables, listen to authors read from their books, participate in an open-mic poetry slam, and see the exhibits on loan from the Crandall Printing Museum.
For children and adults alike, there will be a hands-on exhibit of book-making (printing, paper decorating, and binding) by the University of Utah Book Arts program. There will be a rare book roadshow sponsored by local experts. In some cases, authors will be interviewed or will carry on discussions with the audience.
Signature Books is pleased to have four authors on the program: Phyllis Barber, Alex Caldiero, Ann Cannon, and Marilyn Bushman-Carlton. Marilyn will interview the recent Swenson Poetry Award winner, Elisabeth Murawski, about Zorba’s Daughter, followed by questions and answers and a chance to meet both poets up close, as well as the opportunity to purchase their recent books.
